Gina Forsyth is a singer/songwriter, violinist, and guitarist from New Orleans. She possesses a soulful alto and songs that cut straight to the heart–unpretentious, well-crafted, and profound. Gina’s 2016 CD, Copper Rooster and Other Tunes and Tales, her third on Waterbug Records, features her prodigious fiddle chops. In 2015-16, Gina released two full-length CDs and an EP: Mid-City Aces (a return to Cajun roots), and The Fiddle EP, the precursor to the CD of fiddle tunes.

Gina’s 2012 release, Promised Land, was top ten on the Folk DJ List in 2012; the title cut was the #1 song for January 2012. In 2015, Gina was one of 24 Emerging Artists at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, then voted one of three Most Wanted to return in 2016. She is also 1/3 of the Malvinas; their new CD, God Bless the Grass, was released on Soona Songs in April 2017.
