Promised Land (2012)

"Promised Land" is an album no folk music lover should pass up. Well-written tunes, crisp production and instrumentation framing a message of reminiscences from a performer who does it as well as it can be done. In showing us where we've been, this CD tells us where we are in a way that is at once heartwarming and heartbreaking. "Promised Land" is a beautiful keeper, and I give it my highest recommendation. John C. McClure, Victory Music

Promised Land hit #3 on the Folk DJ list and made the final voting round of 50 to determine the Grammy nominees for "Best Folk Album."

You Are Here (2001)

You Are Here Gina Forsyth CDGina Forsyth is a gifted songwriter with a passionate and honest voice. Her first CD, You Are Here, has already received considerable folk radio airplay and I hope and predict she'll continue to find a wide audience. Lynn McLachlan, Rambles, a Cultural Arts Magazine

The Malvinas - Love Hope + Transportation (2005)

For The Malvinas, whose roster includes Crescent City singer-songwriter/fiddler Gina Forsyth, what also works are the cerebral songs, alternating vocalists, dovetailed delicate harmonies and fiddle-laced arrangements that frame a multi-hued personality. Forsyth’s “Sweet and Sunny South” is practically a Southern cultural anthem with such anti-antebellum lines as “We lose our musicians/And our fascist politicians” and “But it’s grits and not granola/and they know it from Shin-Ola.” Dan Willging, Offbeat Magazine

the malvinas i'm not like this (2002)

That's T-for-Texas, Québec-as-in-Canada and Louisiana, y'all, a feminist folk trio with a seriously original sound created by three of the most temperamental, romantic, down-to-earth, tolerant, funky, maternal, independent, impassioned, politically opinionated, completely-unlike-one-another, singer-songwriter-instrumentalists you've ever had the good fortune to know. Lisa MarkleyGina Forsyth and Beth Cahill are hard workin' girls, too, on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, killer harmonies, and a veritable smörgasbord of original compositions that will have you coming back for more.
