HIDE YOUR FACE

by Gina Forsyth (1993)

Hide your face
But don't keep it hidden too long
You need your hands
For other things
Don't leave them there too long

You may be
On the edge of something better
Open your heart
And look to the light
And you will be all right
All right

How do I know
The hard way I'd learn
When deep in love I'd fall
But here in my heart
There's still lots of space
And a place in it for all

If you fall
When you go out on the deep end
You can come back
I'll do what I can
To help you find your place

Fall on your face
That's exactly what it's there for
Go on and make
The same old mistakes
Then go and make a new one next time

How do I know
The hard way I'd learn
When deep in love I'd fall
But here in my heart
There's still lots of space
And a place in it for all who enter in

If you fall
When you go out on the deep end
You can come back
And I'll do what I can
To help you find your place

So hide your face
And when you are done with hiding
You're still welcome in
And I only want
For you to be your old self again
For you to be your old self again
